The before story

VICTORIA "TORI" VITKOWSKY BENNETT & KAYLA BARR HENGAMI--AKA & THE 14th & BFFs (BEST FRIEND FOUNDERS) OF 14TH&B--MET ON BOWERY & HESTER AT AN AUDITION THAT TORI WAS HOLDING FOR THE "PERFECT GIRL," DURING OF THE EARLIEST INCARNATIONS THE BRAIN-CHILD THAT BROUGHT THE BBs TOGETHER CREATIVELY, MUG LIFE. KAYLA HAD JUST MOVED TO 14TH STREET AND AVENUE A...WHEREAS TORI, A FORMER MANHATTANITE TURNED BROOKLYN TRANSPLANT, HAD SPENT MOST OF HER LIFE ON 13TH STREET AND AVENUE B.  KAYLA, DESPITE HAILING FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, WAS DECLARED A NEW YORKER BY TORI...WHICH IS LIKE HER VERSION OF KNIGHTING SOMEONE.

It was lady love at first cross-streets.  This test-run of perfect women has a long story behind it--basically, tori was hell-bent on proving that there's no such evil in the world. And yet she found her perfect girl! In the production partner sense. Mug Life was only a fetus at the time, but the girls shared a vision--so much so that the birth of mug life was taken out of tori's hands...and put into theirs: two girls embracing the hilarity of an intentionally extended awkward silence, feeling all of the feelings, and the fact that flawless comedic timing and fixing everything with glitter are not mutually exclusive character traits.
